To fully appreciate the increasingly high-resolution of digital media such as DVDs and other devices with component output capability, a component video input terminal is indispensable. In order to display RGB video signals in high-resolution and as faithfully as possible to the original source, these signals are separated into black & white (luminance: Y) and colour (chroma: PB and PR) data. And JVC LCD TVs are designed to automatically change the TV input to EXT-4 whenever a component signal is input to the terminal.
HDMI™ input with HDCP allows for noise-free, unaltered, and/or uncompressed transmission of digital content from a compatible device with HDMI or DVI* output. HDMI™ input is capable of receiving 576i, 480i, 576p, 470p, 1080i, and 720p video signals as well as analogue audio signals via a single cable. All DynaPix/DynaPix HD models feature HDMI™/DVI input on EXT-5 while the LT-40S70, LT-32DX7, LT-26DX7, LT-32X70, and LT-26X70 DynaPix HD models feature second HDMI™ input on EXT-6.
Two HDMI audio/video cables — the 3-meter VX-HD130G and 5-meter VX-150G — are optionally available. For DVI connection, an additional DVI-HDMI conversion cable is required.

LCD TVs introduced in this website are designated as "HD ready", which indicates that these products meet the following criteria specified by EICTA:
1) Minimum native resolution of the display device shall be 720 physical lines, in wide aspect ratio;
2) The display device must be equipped with analogue YPBPR, and DVI or HDMI™ (supporting HDCP content protection) inputs to accept the HD signal;
3) HD-capable inputs must be compatible with 720p 50/60Hz and 1080i 50/60Hz HD video formats.
The "HD ready" designation signifies that JVC LCD TVs are fully capable of displaying the high-density, high-definition pictures offered by HD content.
